Talking to children about coronavirus

Making funeral donations during the coronavirus pandemic

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, family and friends who want to pay their respects at the service may be limited due to social distancing rules or may not be able to attend the funeral service at all due to restrictions. This might be very upsetting for everyone involved, however they can still commemorate your loved one and make a donation in their memory to our vital work online via a Tribute Fund. On a Tribute Fund, they can post pictures, videos, music and share memories. Click the button below to find out more and set up a Tribute Fund.

Collecting funeral donations

We can provide a number of free-of-charge resources to help you collection donations for Winston’s Wish at the service:

  • Donation envelopes: These envelopes include Gift Aid forms that can allow us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated at no extra cost
  • Memorial information: An A4 display card with information about Winston’s Wish, how family and friends can donate, and how donations will make a difference to grieving children
  • Pew cards: These let family and friends know that their gifts in memory will support Winston’s Wish
  • Online Tribute Fund: Display a funeral notice and let family and friends make donations online

Please contact us on remembering@winstonswish.org for more information or to request any of these resources.
