Grief support for young people
If you’re 25 or under and grieving after the death of someone important to you, we’re here to help.

How can Winston’s Wish help grieving young people?
When someone dies, it can be hard to know what to think, feel or do next. Whether it’s a parent, sibling, friend or someone you admired from afar, suddenly not having them in your life can feel scary and upsetting.
We are Winston’s Wish, and we’re here to let you know that whatever it is you’re feeling (or not feeling), it’s valid and it’s ok. There’s no right or wrong way to grieve. And there’s no set formula to ‘get over’ it. Instead, we can help you to live with your grief and build a life around your loss.
There are lots of ways we can support you. All of our services are digital, meaning you can access them wherever you are in the UK.

Get immediate support from a Bereavement Specialist
Some days, grief feels way too heavy. If you’d rather talk to someone outside of family or friends, our team of bereavement specialists is here.
You can speak with someone right away; no need to make an appointment or sit on long waiting lists. You can even stay anonymous if that feels better.
Share as much or as little as you want. We’ll listen, never judge, and, if you’d like, we will suggest things that might help.
You’re in control, reach out once, or as often as you need.
Start a conversation with our bereavement team today. You can speak with us between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday (except bank holidays).
