Online peer support groups for parents and carers

Connecting with people who know what it’s like to be living with grief can be incredibly powerful, as we’ve seen in our online grief support groups. Groups enable us to share experiences, feelings and coping strategies. They’re also a place where we can learn, find comfort and maybe even friendship. We currently run grief support groups for parents and carers who are supporting bereaved children. Below we explain more about how these groups work and how to book a place.

We believe groups have the power to transform the experiences of grieving children and young people. That’s why we’re working incredibly hard behind the scenes to re-design our grief support groups so they better meet their needs. Our new groups for children and young people will include a mix of peer support and workshops – look out for more information later in the year.

Parents peer support groups 2 - Winston's Wish

Caring for a grieving child or young person can be tricky. What should you say? What shouldn’t you say? How can you support them as well as yourself? Join other parents and carers to talk, share feelings and connect with one another. You can simply say it how it is, seek advice and hopefully pick up some tips from each other. A member of the Winston’s Wish team will be there too. The groups are informal so you can come when you wish – just once, to each group or whenever you feel you need to.

Places are limited to 15 per group. Click the button below to see the dates and times of our next groups and book a place via Eventbrite. Booking opens two weeks before the group.
