Support from Charitable Trusts is vital to our work

Last year, Winston’s Wish supported more than 22,778 children and young people. This would not have been possible without the support of Charitable Trusts and Foundations who fund specific projects, resources and core costs. Our partners allow us to help support bereaved children, young people and their families across the UK. Below are some of the ways Charitable Trusts and Foundations can fund our work and how you can contact us.

How Charitable Trusts can support Winston’s Wish

We have opportunities for Trusts and Foundations to fund specific projects, resources or core costs. This includes:

  • National Freephone Helpline – providing phone, call back, online chat and email support and information to children, young people and the families and professionals who care for them
  • Family Bereavement Support Service – a programme of guided, telephone-based support sessions helping parents to support a bereaved child or young person to find their way through grief
  • Children and Young People’s Support Service – a programme of digital and face-to-face support sessions for children and young people to help them cope with their grief and to feel hopeful for the future
  • Support for bereaved children and young people who are vulnerable, have specialist educational needs and/or disabilities, or are experiencing trauma or adversity
  • Resources to help parents, carers and professionals support children and young people bereaved of a loved one
  • New projects and pilot programmes
  • Local support in South West and South East England
