Winston’s Wish, the leading childhood bereavement charity in the UK, is the grateful recipient of a generous £2,000 donation from the Sussex Freemasons.

Freemasons SussexFor freemason John Angell, the decision to fundraise for Winston’s Wish was particularly poignant:

“My grandson George lost his mother tragically in December 2011.  George was only eight years of age, and of course his mother’s death was an enormous trauma for him. Winston’s Wish visited the school on several occasions and supported George, with amazing results.  He has now come to terms with his loss, and is progressing very well.

I would like to express my grateful thanks to the Board of Trustees in this Province for their generous contribution toward a Charity that does so much for so many children like George”.

The £2,000 generously donated by the Sussex Freemasons could enable Winston’s Wish to deliver a training session to 40 professionals, who in turn would work with and support many more bereaved children. Alternatively, the amount raised could fund 16 face-to-face sessions with bereaved children and their families with our specialist family practitioners – providing support to help deal with their loss.
