Childhood bereavement charity, Winston’s Wish, is appealing for daredevils to take part in its upcoming firewalk.
Winston’s Wish is looking for daredevils to walk over hot coals to raise money for bereaved children and young people at the unique event taking place on Saturday 19th March 2022 at Brighton College, Diamond Jubilee Pavilion.
All participants will receive a thorough two-hour training session where they will be offered the courage and skills needed to release fears and embark safely on this motivating and exhilarating challenge. The firewalk is being led by a team of experienced and highly skilled professionals from Blaze firewalking, who will ensure the event is safe and successful.
Speaking about the event Tessa Watson, Events Manager for Winston’s Wish said “We hope that the local community will put their best foot forward and take part in this courageous event to allow Winston’s Wish to support more bereaved children and young people at a time when they need support the most. The impact of the pandemic means that childhood bereavement support services like Winston’s Wish are needed more now than ever. This event is a true bucket list event, and the training given beforehand will empower you to take on this challenge”.

The event is an exclusive challenge and participants are invited to bring along friends and family to witness them embarking on this once in a lifetime challenge. All participants must be 14 or over and all children under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. A £20 registration fee secures your place at the event and the charity asks participants to raise a minimum of £100 which will help them provide vital support for bereaved children in the local area.
