Harry Boulton has been busy in the studio recording a fantastic album of Christmas songs, the proceeds of which he’s generiously chosen to donate to Winston’s Wish, to support our work during the festive season and beyond.

 

 

Tell us about your Christmas album, how did you come up with the idea?

My Christmas Album was initially given to me as an idea by my Dad and because I love Christmas so much it was just perfect for me and it came at just the right time, I have been singing for 9 years at my performing arts class and so I loved the idea of releasing my own album, I then had the idea to raise money for Winston’s Wish.

Why did you decide to fundraise for Winston’s Wish and can you tell us a little bit about your family’s connection with the charity?

I decided to raise money for Winston’s Wish because it has been a charity that my family has done things for in the past and we initially found the charity because my mum sadly lost her Dad when she was 2 years old and there was no help available when she was younger which would’ve made things a lot better and because of that we have always admired the outstanding work that they do for bereaved children and what a difference it can make.

How have you found the fundraising side of things so far?

I have found the fundraising a very rewarding process and I have really enjoyed the experience.

What’s been the most enjoyable part for you of the experience?

I have really enjoyed being able to show people something that means so much to me and my family and to see their reaction.

What’s been the most challenging aspect?

The most challenging aspect of it all has been making sure that the album was to perfection because I really wanted to make something amazing for the charity and something to really kickstart people’s Christmas in the right way.

What advice would you give other people who might be thinking of setting up an exciting fundraising opportunity like your album?

I would say to make sure you enjoy the whole experience from setting it up to people seeing what you have done.

What does the future hold for you and your performing?

I have always been intent on having a career in entertainment and more recently comedy, I love singing and so I may do something similar in the future but for now I’m focusing on getting a career in comedy and TV entertainment in some way and with that Winston’s Wish will always be something that I support no matter what I do.
