Winston’s Wish Raffle Terms and Conditions

  1. The purchase of one raffle ticket entitles the player to one chance in the relevant raffle draw. All tickets will be the same price (currently £1).
  2. This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain.
  3. Underage gambling is an offence. UK law states that it is an offence for raffle tickets to be sold to, by or on behalf of a person under 16 years of age. Winston’s Wish rules state that players must be 16 or over to enter our raffle. Therefore, if a ticket is sold to, by, or bought on behalf of a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will not be awarded any prize. Postal entries confirm that by completing and returning the slip that they accept these terms and conditions.
  4. Employees of Winston’s Wish who work on the production of the raffle are ineligible to enter this raffle. Any tickets bought by employees working on the production of the raffle will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to Winston’s Wish.
  5. Monies raised by this raffle will support the work of Winston’s Wish.
  6. Payment for participation in the raffle can be made by cheque payable to ‘Winston’s Wish’, or debit card. We cannot accept payment by credit card for online entries. We discourage sending cash in the post as this is insecure. We cannot accept CAF payments for raffle tickets and all CAF payments will be treated as donations.
  7. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.
  8. Winston’s Wish accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified.
  9. Any ticket payments received after the draw will be considered as donations to Winston’s Wish.
  10. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn randomly. The first ticket drawn will win the first prize, the second ticket drawn will win the second prize, this process will continue until all prizes have been allocated.
  11. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  12. Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone as soon as possible after the draw date. Please keep the ticket number as proof of purchase.
  13. A list of winners will be published on our website. We will notify winners within seven days of the draw being completed.
  14. Where Winston’s Wish is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following Winston’s Wish first attempt to notify the prize-winner, Winston’s Wish may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles.
  15. All winners are required to co-operate with Winston’s Wish requirement to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age if requested.
  16. The promoter of the raffle is Elisha Matthews, Head of Individual Giving and Legacies, Winston’s Wish, 17 Royal Crescent, Cheltenham, GL50 3DA. Licensed by Cheltenham Borough Council.
  17. Winston’s Wish has in place policies to encourage people to gamble responsibly and seek help should gambling become a problem:
    1. Players can request self-exclusion from Winston’s Wish database for further raffle mailings.

  19. Any complaints relating to the raffle should be sent in writing to Winston’s Wish, 17 Royal Crescent, Cheltenham, GL50 3DA giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation.
  20. In the event of an error, however caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the raffle in any way, the organisers reserve the right to fairly administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the organisers deem it appropriate and/or feasible Winston’s Wish will notify entrants of the error.
  21. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.

  • 3rd Prize: One-night stay at The Fish Hotel, Cotswolds

  • 6th Prize: Personalised Cadbury’s Hamper
